Default Rubber

I have been wakeboarding in Loch Lomond for 5 years and only worn boardies bout 3 times!

Play on the safe side n bring all three! The loch is usually at it warmest July- early Sept although it is still pretty cold!

Post rubber

I am just back fro 2days up on th loch and i was fine with a 3mm! saying that i had rubber pants and a thermal rash aswell! i was there the second last weekend in september and it was one of best weekends i have had the loch was like a mill pond no wind at all! shorty will be used this summer though as wether is meant to be warm warm warm!!!

As for petrol on the loch the petrol station a Drymen has gone and i would advise taking up plenty of fuel, yu can fill her up on the water too but beware the new by-laws around inchmurin too and the new patrol boat which is 11m long has 2 diesel stern drive units puting out 490hp and they have imposed a 30kmph speed limit for all recreational towing which include wakesports.

Peace out!

fortunately the 30kmh limit doesn't apply to those towing skiers or boarders. Only for towing other boats or objects that are not propelled (humans excluded)

The byelaws booklet I got when I registered the boat says

“No boat shall tow at a speed above 30 Kilometres per hour any structure or boat which has no independent means of propulsion or mechanical directional control”

Now that fairly bad grammar in my book (but hey their Scotch right) but I’m taking that to mean ringos and the like, not skiers or wakeboarders.
