Default re:do u know sands

small world indeed! i know sands from playing rugby years ago........yeh the prices at cashel have changed we were up in may its like having the gestapo there. you have to pay for car park to as you are only allowed one car per pitch.....£3/night for cars in carpark.....its also lost its character too as they have cut down load of trees etc saying that the new shower block is sweet and they have put showeres into the top toilet block too!

Default it's no cold!

alright stu

me and a couple of mates bought micks boat off him (the black 2001 nautique) - i think he mentioned that we might run into you up there, but haven't as yet. We're keeping the boat up at arden the mo and have had a good few days out on the boat - attempting to wakeboard!

But alas we needed rescued the other day, the boat just cut out and wouldnt start again, funnily enough it did start when we got back to the balloch jetty! but think we need someone to look at it before we risk going back out...

do you know anywhere we could take it for someone to have a look at it ? or in the meantime I would love to come up for a board with some guys that know what they are doing, cos it's only been broke for a week and am getting withdrawal symptoms !

cheers Gareth

Default Boarding

Hi Gareth,

Nae probs if you want to come up with us although were at not very good ourselves but hey ho we can but help with the basics!

I am sure we seen you out a couple of weeks back opposite Cashel campsite??.

Try Charlie Davidson on 01592 713716 he is a Mastercraft approved technician and maintains our boat. He is based in Fife though but is sometimes through at Loch Earn and Loch Lomond to look at other boats. Not much he does not know about boats. Say you got his number off Wee Stuart at Lomond.

Apart from that I would struggle to recommend anyone else we have had some bad experiences I am afraid . Mabye ask Males the wakeboarding shop in Balloch?

Pm me or send a reply when you are coming up.

Stu

Default :) a decent nights boarding

Alright we went up the loch last night, and managed a decent nights boarding, rained for a bit but then the loch became as flat as I have ever seen it, was quality!

Took our mechanic mate with us and he adjusted the timing, so the boat was idleing and runnign a bit better, says he can do a better job when he has a whole day to look at it. Same problem with the electrics is still happening, when we blast the horn or run the blowers for long it cuts the boat out and then messes up the engine starting and running after that. But at least we know not to use them 'till get it looked at again, at least the engine idles fine and is good for boarding! The mechanic reckoned we have just shorted out some electric thing, by leaving the ignition on....
