What’s the latest on water temperatures and the beast that is the Scottish Midge?
We are heading up for a week on Saturday, do we need shorts and no midge repellent or dry suits and shotguns.

Default Shorts and Shotguns I would say!

Hey

I am up there every week boarding now and I just wear board shorts and a wetsuit top thing - and that's fine for me. my mates wear wetsuits and they are also fine, definately no need for a drysuit.

As for the midge, yep they come out in force about 7/8pm now and you get eaten alive, we struggle to put the cover back on our boat quick enough not to get eaten ! Buy some of that AVON product - even the SAS use it for the midgies and they are hard as nails !

Maybe see you up there next week, we have a black nautique with monster tower.
