Default Loch Lomond

We’ve got a place on Inchmurrin Island booked for a week this summer & we’re just wondering what the script for refuelling in the area is.
Can you refuel on the water locally and do they have your pants down for the privilege, or should we just take a raft of Jerry cans.
Oh and what time of year do those Bastard Midges start dying off?

Midges last until Oct.

As long as Gordon Brown has anything to do with fuel we will all have our pants pulled down.

Lets hope Phil idea of free meat works it can offset the cost.

dude, i would recommend jerry cans. having been up last year and seen a friend fill up their new malibu VLX on the dock at balloch marina at around £1.14 a litre I would say you're better placed taking like six jerry cans, dumping your car at balloch slip and then ferrying it all in your boat to your spot.

Default Balmaha

We ride out of Balmaha (bout 15mins on boat to Inchmurrin) and take jerry cans up with us. Nearest petrol station is outside Drymen and if memory serves I think it might have shut recently??

Anyways give me a shout when you are up if you need a hand we can always bring more cans and you can sort us out for the dosh!

Hope to see you anyways when you are up at bonnie Loch Lomond.

Avon midge repellant is best stuff used by the army now apparently!!

Stu

What rubber do we need to be equipped with (second week in September) is it boardies, shorty, 3mm, or 5mm by then.

Obviously I’ll also be bringing my rubber underwear for the nights out on the town!
