What PP advice do you need? Its pretty much plug and play. You only really need to start playing with the kdw settings once you start running 1500lbs+ ballast.

Towerboy will advise on what the best trim/ballast/prop settings are for the 1800sr3 as he has one but I reckon centre and front ballast are the way to go with the drive trimmed up a few degrees with a hi five prop.

I have same boat with factory tower, switched standard 23 pitch prop for 21 pitch high five which give much more pull, I believe you can go down to 19 pitch but at WOT you'd be over revving IMO.

Be interested to hear how you get on with PP.

Have found putting some weight upfront makes it much easier to hold a constant speed, need to experiment more to get better wake though.

Unhappy

A bung was left out of our speedster wake and now the perfect pass is not showing a speed signal. Anyone know what might have happened and whether it will be repairable?

I should be able to help.

I also have a 2006 1800 SR3 with the MPI.. installed Tower and PP on it myself amongst other things.

It doesn't take much weight to be honest. 1 x 600lb in the bow is the limit with a standard prop... that can go to about 1000lb with a 17-19 pitch prop but then the boat will be crap for everything else.

Best to compromise and go with the 600 up front, stick the pp on 20-22mph, swop out the shockingly awful prop choice (14 x 23p ally 3 blade) to a 21 pitch high five and you will be laughing... Adding this stuff practically pays for itself (especially the prop). It's a different boat afterwards!

Give me a holla if you want to know more and want to think about adding bits and bobs... I can sell you towers and PP & advise on the best places to go for the other bits. No obligation of course... I enjoy chatting to fellow maxum owners.. plus I'm on the flipping road (towing) all day tomorrow so a chat always makes it go a little faster! haha

Cheers,

Mike
