Oh my God! Culture shock or what 55degrees today, a 20degree drop in six days. What’s that all about?

I don't know, but it was freezing! Though I think the wetsuit being too big didn't help though!

Thanks for the pulls earlier, had a great time depsite the cold! Will bring my own gear next time!

You lads will be in for a shock when you get to that there Scotch-land. We went up to Loch Earn about 4 weeks ago. I have never been so cold in my life - Windermere in Feb was warmer - global warming is a right pile of tosh - 4years ago when we went up you could stand the water for about half an hour- now ten minutes was too long.

There's a fiver up for the first one to do a full set in their Speedos during your trip - 20minutes minimum and we need the video evidence! Now there's a challenge.

I suggest you start our friends north of the border drinking the Stella / Miller combo straight away to see if they can get the temp upto single figures.

It’s no good trying to scare us Rich, the last time we went to Loch Lomond was November 28th. It was snowing as we left Preston and the water was lovely.
Plus this year we’ve got it sussed we have an emersion heater element that plugs in to the cigarette lighter, its supposed to heat cups of coffee but I recon if we leave it in the Loch plugged in overnight we'll be sorted by 9am.

You are probably right, I am glad the bet's off anyway, because, no offence, but I wouldn't want to have to watch a 20min video of you lot in your Speedo's,

There woud only be one thing worse - having to watch big Andy pull in a rope from behind - the Sutton Slot - its like looking into Mont Blank Tunnel - only darker.

November in Lomond - its good to know that the English Spirit of Adventure and Fool Hardiness is not dead.

How about winching to the North Pole next year?
