I very much doubt anyone is running 2000lbs in 3.0L bayliner. Maybe the 5.0 or 5.7 but even that would struggle.

With the 3.0 engine you could safely run a 400lb sac in the walkway and 2 people on board. Anymore than that and it would be really pushing it.

As you have a nice bit of weight in the rear already (engine) you should get some weight towards the front to balance it out. Too much rear balast gives a steep washed out wake. A nice balance ballast should help you get a clean rampy wake.

A lower pitch prop is like using a lower gear in your car. It makes it a lot easier to pull away but at the expense of top end speed. You'll need to find a balance between acceleration and top end speed.

Also the amount of blades and what they are made of will make a big difference. If your running a stock 3 blade aluminium prop then ditch it right away. A stainless steel prop is a lot more efficient (the blades are much thinner and stronger) and an extra blade or two will help your acceleration and speed holding.

The stainless high 5 prop seems to be the preffered choice of I/O users.

The ultimate solution is to sell her and buy a wake machine
