Winching at altitude
The Snow and Wake Bulgaria crew + guests attempted to break records last week with high altitude winching.
With seven small lakes above 2000m in the Rila Mountains of Bulgaria, 1 4wd, 1 Trailer, 1 Monkey Wench, and five devoted riders.
Unfortunately the journey was abandoned about 100m short of the first lake. Recent snow melt had caused severe erosion of the mountain tracks and we had to turn back.
We are not worried however, a new route has been planned and another attempt will be made in the next two weeks. We can't wait.
