Loch Tay is a great little spot, as long as it not windy. Yes the loch is freezing (we were there last month ) you can't leave your hands in the water for too long. The best places to ride are at either end of the loch depending on the direction of the wind, make sure you fuel up on the way as the nearest petrol station is quite a drive.

Ignore Rich’s comments about the cold it’s well documented around here that he’s Gay and afraid of the cold, it won’t be a problem for real men.

Wink Loch Tay

There is a watersports centre at Loch Tay. Not sure how user friendly it is for boarders think it has changed hands since the last time we were there (2-3 years ago)

Watersports

Loch Tay is quite exposed to wind but we got some good sets last time.

Cold: It's Scotland what do you expect?? Should be nearing the warmest temps in the water shortly so suck it up ya pansy!!!

Have fun!

That's two Gay references in the last two replies.

Dave says he's not gay but he has a hot shower on his boat for warming up after a dip in the river, how gay is that! and he pumps the pet shop boys out of the tower speakers! and his boat is named Drag Queen after his favorite kind of lady!!!!!!
Don't care what anyone says Loch Tay is freezing and always windy.
