It does, but a good hard edged back roll, almost like a raley roll out into the flats can look pretty good also.

I think a sh1t backroll looks worse than a sh1t 3 and a good backroll looks as good as a good straight 3. I've seen people murder both tricks.

Mind you more people seem to murder the backroll than the 3. I think thats something to do with the obsession with inverts that people get when they can't/first start riding. Nothing looks worse than some muppet with a half assed Tantrum and nothing else.

I agree..some kids just want to do inverts before they can even land toeside wake to wakes. I actually think a couple of bid stylish grabbed 180s will get you just as much from a judge as an average 3 or backroll.

Hmm i like the back roll to watch, however most riders make it look sloppy and lean back to much on landing which looks terrible. However you cant forget its a beginners invert, of course people want to land inverts, they are cool! Besides you seem to be forgetting wakeboarding (for me) is not about how many points a trick will get you, or even how good it looks,,, surely its all about how it feels for the rider. I ride every day and ride purely for myself not competitions or for the people watching me.

You cant beat off axis spins. They are the coolest. So forget the back roll and start hitting off axis 3s and you'll be onto a winner
