Default mercury smart tow

has anybody herd anyting about this product i have a 4.3 mpi engine it looks as good as p/pass for a i/o and will not effect my warranty please let me know
there is no paddle wheel works on revs

I have never seen that before but from that link it looks pretty gnarley. the way it gives a consitant pull everytime. Basically its PP on steriods

PP won't affect your warranty.

I wouldn't go for an RPM based speed control. They are fine for skiing at speeds above 30mph but for wakeboarding you need speed based control.

Hmm interesting. I dunno if that's as true now a days... The smart tow system integrates with the ECU from what I have seen not the throttle linkage like PP. It's far more accurate than an RPM based pp system as it can react more quickly and more accurately. However whether it'd be as good as PP WB Pro would be a different question.

The launch control seems like the answer to a question nobody asked... if you are unable to apply the correct throttle to pull up a skier you really should not be in the boat, let alone driving it! Whilst time and stress saving devices have a place this could be too far...
