Hey guys, great to read your comments on the show. I'm one of the organisers and as Tower Boy says - we've worked seriously hard this year to create a new show from scratch in 10 months. We've aimed to deliver a show truly focused on combining interaction, excitement, education and loads of new product. We've also worked extremely hard to increase awareness of water based activities and in particular, freesports that aren't getting enough support elsewhere.

Personally, I love wakeboarding and have managed to convince the team to create an awesome pool gap as the main show feature for our Active Zone (and it's by far the most expensive feature!!!) purely to help promote the sport, the riders and inspire new audiences to take up the sport - hopefully benefiting everyone in that industry from retailers to cable parks, wake schools and those of us struggling to improve!

We are trying to support the industry and so many companies have committed their support to the show in return, which is fantastic...lots of boat manufacturers are specifically showcasing their sport boat ranges to associate with the wakeboarding and build a community - all doing a host of promo activities such as donating prizes signed by the rides to visitors.

It would be great if you all came along - the more people we have supporting the feature, the more we can do next year - that way, you can also give us constructive input to deliver what you would like to see in 08. We're also planning to use the pool gap for events next year...so the more support we get at the show...the more the team will be happy to put back to support the industry next year.

We have Matt Crowhurst, Lewis Cornwall, Tim Woodhead, James Young & Lee Debuse...along with a host of guest riders...so it's a pretty good show to watch!

Wakey,

Nice pics.. and good sentiment. I've got my report on the show going online tomorrow so I'll link to it from here when I post the article. I for one am impressed with the commitment the organisors have gone to with the pool gap setup, if you're a regular of the forums you'll note the topic of investment in the sport is a highly charged issue.

Get your butts down to the show and see some wakeboarding and wakeskating in the centre of our capital!

Just uploaded my review of the show:

2007 Earls Court Boat Show Review - Wakeboard UK

If anyone has any constructive comments on the wakeboarding component of the show please feed back via the forums and we'll pass them on to the organisors.

Just to backup what wakeygirl already put pretty well.. the pool gap is going off! Since Sim made his film LDB's been throwing scarecrows off the centre gap/kicker (landing!), now the riders have had some practice things are getting out of hand...

The show as a whole is going great.... if you get the chance come on down

Good to see Lee back in the frame, I reckon hes going to do some big things next year, getting back in to cable riding after returning from cabwake.
