It's not the norm if you are a "day member" i.e. turn up and pay

but if you are a member of that club and the club is affiliated to the BWSF then your members have to join, to keep the club enjoying the benefits - so it does work all round.

I know we put a fair few £ through to them each year and that is 80% wakeboarders at least

But a tick box on the form would help to define the numbers

Sorry to tag another response on (but at last, something I know something about!!)

Remember there is a difference between club & commercial venture also

Boat owning members & registered boat drivers at our place have to be BWS members. But you don't have to be a BWS member to turn up and take a set with Ten-80.

so its starting to look like there are more wakeboarding bws members than i thought mainly through affiliation.i am going to try and get more info, and think that members have a right to know how their fees are being spent, this may not be so easy.

I think we are all proper individual members. Could be around 100 as there are something like 60 or 70 boat owners and most have more than one driver. At a guess, more than 50% wakeboarders.

Our club (Minsterworth) is the same, all members have to have BWSF, about 60% wakeboard so thats another 40 wakeboards with membership. Rossl
