I go on a number on a number of forums and i have to say that this one is the lowest ranking in terms of activity which means either the numbers of wakeboarders is pretty low in the uk or posters have deserted to other forums in the winter months or the sport just isnt as popular as we would like to think
what do other think or do |

it happens every year dave, what is there to write about when nobody is ridding?
i know i'd rather be skateboarding than complaining about the weather on the internet that said, I'm in california right now and i'm gonna be shredding the gnar in 30 minutes. I'll come back and give you something to read i promise! Last edited by sim; 17th February 2008 at 05:09 PM. |

I love wakeworld, it's great entertainment. They are SO american. They really think that they are a force within wakeboarding, ha ha. They are all jocks and god botherers its hilarious,
they do posts like "this summer my goal is to clear the wake heelside whilst praying to god and still managing to idolise the hoffman sisters and shaun murray" they post that after arguing the merits of their X45 opposed to their friends 226. I have never seen so many beginner wakeboarders with 80 grand boats in one place. DaveD forums are weird I reckon. if you look on sites like adrenalintrip or mpora or any site that hosts forums for multiple sports then you will see an obvious pattern. any sport that has lots of technical equipment that is quite expensive normally have quite active forums due to people that "work" in IT being able to sit around and chat all day about their kit/impending week in the alps/lack of a week in the alps. sports where people actually are more interested in actually doing it than talking about it tend to have much lower traffic. If i'm wrong then I stand corrected but I've never seen a busy skateboard forum or surfing forum. as far as wakeboarding goes I think in the UK our forum is not too bad with the exception of some of the crap advice given in the rookie bit by people who clearly have no idea what they're talking about. it seems quiet now like sim says because no one is riding and hopefully in the summer we won't see anyone posting in the middle of a sunny saturday afternoon but lots of look at a video i made posts with people actually doing rather than talking about their "achievements".
