I don't figure how not enough votes can be cast- you only need one vote for male/female to get a result!! It may not represent the full picture but it's what the people who did vote, voted for! I imagine Gordon Brown may read this thread and take note in a couple of years...

You have a point there.

thats pretty much how its turned out in this country. 'Pro' seems to just mean you are better than most people, rather than meaning you get paid to wakeboard and that is your main source of income. I've seen so many kids get a free t-shirt and tell their friends they're sponsored or even pro, it barely has any meaning nowadays.

I think the only pro's on that list by true definition are Crowhurst, Nick, Dan and Robbie Rendo. I don't know about nicola but i would presume sponsor money isn't covering travel, training and everything, even though it should by now.

With all due respect to Steph, I would give her the title of Best up and coming rider, i know what she can do, and i think she is an amazing cable rider but The bag of tricks that Nicola has , and with style is the stuff that the riders on this list can only dream about, not only her ability on the boat but her cable riding as well.
I was with Steph when she bust her ankle last year and i was gutted for her, as it screwed up her year, but i think this will be her year, i want to see her picture on the cover of Alliance Sim. i beleive she will be one of the most respected riders in the U.K.

I am not going to enter into a discussion on the guys, my opinion, not based on comp results, just these guys amazing riding abilities.

Yeah surley 'Pro' has to mean you do it for a living as it does in all other sports.
