Saturday was good here. Sunday/Monday I did some decorating and ate lots of food, could have been worse.

Its hard not to complain when the lock master wont open the lock and let you onto the river cos of the wind. What a waste of a Bank Holiday!!!!!!!

We were not too bad as we used a flat sheltered spot south lake windermere ( probably the only flat spot all weekend on the lake ). Problem was it was a short run length but better than nothing. The rest of the lake was wild with white horses!! At least the wind has stopped now we were out last night and tonight looks even better with the weather this evening sun - no wind!!

Sounds like the lock master was being a little over the top keeping the gates closed on the ribble? must have been pretty bad on there?

Was hoping to ride tonight but I think the rain has stopped that. Shame as the lake is a good 6" higher than usual and we could have had an improved wake!

I can testify that there was flat water around low wood on Sat & Mon. And everywhere was pancake tonight.
