£80!! ouch indeed my friend. when you look at costs like that owning a boat doesnt seem that expensive.....

yeah i have a maxum 1750SR and it is perfect for me (a beginner). not sure about a tower yet. have heard mixed views on getting one - most say that it will only benefit the more experienced riders who are comfortable with air etc. i think i would like to try one first before drilling holes in my brand spanking new baby!

i have some pics which i can dig out if you like but it is exactly the same one that they list on their site **CLICK HERE** including the colour blue.

bascially Hayling covers everything that *i* require. firstly the marina seems safe and everyone i have met there has been fantastic and friendly. there are miles and miles of sandy beaches for times when u just wanna chill out with friends and all in all it is pretty sheltered most of the time. if the weather is good then it is a short blast across to the IOW for lunch and a nice change. it is worth noting that there are loads of lurking sand banks around so a depth finder is recommened.

there is a ski park which costs about £100 to join and use. This covers your BWSA membership, use of the park and the pontoon (which has a bbq, camping area and slalom course) and they refund £50 if you do a patrol once a year in order to catch those wihtout licences or people speeding through the park without a skier behind. the harbour master does this just so that the whole place doesnt get out of hand and that everyone has the right insurance and documentation. you will also need to pay harbour duties but they arent that expensive.

obviously you have to remember that it is not the same as a lake so you dont always have the best conditions but so far i have found early to late evening wakeboards have been out of this world.

more importantly we always make a weekend of it anyway and so it actually feels like i have done more than just drive, ski (1hr), then drive home! been every weekend now since end of may. sometimes been good, sometimes been a bit unpretictable but always loads to do there.

christ i have gone on a bit! sorry!! anyway let me know if there is anything else you guys want to know.

everything is possible - go for it!!

keep in touch......
