Gator or Liquid Force / 138 or 142

Hey all,

I'm 6'3", 200 lbs and have a size 12 foot. I'm looking at the LF EVO and the Gator Caddy. I would say my riding style is pretty mellow (some surface tricks and wake to wake jumps), and I don't aspire to do too many inverts, etc. I'm just wondering what you think about the following boards and bindings:

LF EVO 138
LF EVO 142
Gator Caddy 138
Gator Caddy 142

LF Ultra Suction XL
LF EVO L/XL

You may notice that I'm trying to keep the cost down (trying to stay within $300.00). Are there any other obvious board/binding combos I should check out?

princes are offering a good evo deal, around 3-400, u'll do well to get a new pair of ultra;s and a new board for under 300 tho,

could have a look at ebay.co.uk. there are some sweet obrien deals on there, some guys i ride with have taken the cheap option with that, but have come out with some 03 top of the range obrien kick for under 300.

i just bought an evo 138 for £215 from whitecap leisure at willen lake.

Was the best deal i found and id surfed the net for weeks.

However i think the 138 would be wrong for your size etc.

Im 5'10 and 11 1/2 stone will be testing the board tonight.

fhoward42, why don't you go to your local shop and ask to demo them. The best way to find out which board or bindings are right for you is to use them.

I am 5'11'' and 190lbs. I have just bought a Liquid Force trip 143 with Alpha bindings. Both 2004 models from Buywake.com in the US. £237.00 in total, but I did get a mate to bring it over in a Ambush team bag (Included in the price). Its a blinding board for an intermediate rider.

Forgeot to add that the deal was $399.00 from buywake.com and the set up is a level up from the evop package.

gator caddy 142 is a great board 4 sure. don't get sucked in by all the hype the caddy is a board that u can not out grow
