I am just getting started in this and actually have yet to get up. I have some cheapy borad from Wal Mart(sorry people) and if I like it enough I am sure I will have something very nice. But anyways, I was just wondering if anyone rides behind a seadoo. There isn't much wake but I just need to learn to ride first and then I will get either my boss or a friend who have ski boats to pull me around. If there are any tips for extremely new riders, I would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks, jason |

player,,
what i am about to say i mean in a respectful and positive manner,, i understand that beginners dont want to put very much money into wakeboarding at first,,and that is the smart thing to do,, but the wal-mart board that you have,, if i'm not mistaken is called the (backlash) and this board compared to any name brand board is a world of difference,, putting it respectfuly and politly you are cheating your self from the real wakeboarding experience by trying to learn on that board,, if you go to a ski shop you can find used and traded in boards or even a last years model board at a good and reasonable price,, just taking a guess i would say around 125.00 dollars maybe less for the board and 110.00 dollars maybe less for a pair of bindings,, but some where between 200.00 and 275.00 dollars should get you a good name brand board,,i know that is not pocket change to the average person,,but i strongly suggest you make the investment and save your self the trouble of trying this sport on the backlash,, dont worry about what name brand you get,,just ask the the sales person to fit you with a used board that is suited for your size and weight,,matching size and weight is important to your board selection,,as for riding behind a sea-doo,, no there is not much wake ,,but dont worry about that there are lots of tricks and things to do that dont need big wake,, let us know if you are having difficulty in getting up ,, and we can give some helpful hints to you ,,
