Default we need the two days back to party!!!!

i would like to see the wakeboard tour back on 2days as moving the tour to only one day has made the tour loose its happy atmosphere as there isnt any partys on the sataday night which SUCKS! most people go to the wakeboarduk tour for the party its a good way for wakeboarders from differnt regions to socilise about wakeboarding.so graham creedy even though your a good guy and all dat, well your killing the atmosphere dude get the party stated

Hi, I can answer this one as it's a single problem facing the whole tour scene in Europe... money.. or rather, the lack of it

You may have noticed that not only the UK Tour but also the Pro European Tour has no title sponsor this year.

The title sponsors such as White Stuff and Cuervo inject the big money into a tour which allows the extras such as a training day, 2 days of comp vs. 1, and also parties.

The tours are are always on a tight budget, but this year was even tougher and I'm amazed they went ahead at all.

Wakeboard.com even sponsored the Westhorpe stop which isn't bad as we're a very small company (Me, my father and my wife)... we did it not because we'd get our monies worth out of the advertising but because the tour may not have happened if we didn't.

No-one on the UK tour gets paid for their work and I would guess it probably costs every official to hold a comp, what with travel, accomodation, food and time off of work.

It's a shame the parties aren't there  , the site of Graham setting up the comp at 8am after 15 bottles of multicoloured Bacardi drink has to be seen to be appreciated 8O

Maybe with proper TV coverage of the 2002 tour we'll be able to attract a title sponsor to allow the extras of previous years.

Default all you need to do is research!

yeh the tour needs to be fed some more money but think about wired sponsers who can support the tour like haribo or some kind of drink company. dave knight managed to get stella to sponser the pine lake stop im sure you could look into other companys that arn't related to wakeboarding. i know louise moore is sponserd by speedo and there looking into wakeboarding and the surfing scene maybe graham could ask! its great that grahams doin all this i aint saying he doesnt put a lot of effort into the tour what i am saying is that the tour should be over two days because its betta! plus if we did have to have it over the two days we wouldnt have to get up 8.00 in the morning!! :!:and its worth a hangova!

A friend of mine may of just got a job at a previously mentioned (multi-colured) drinks company and she wakeboards, I'll have a word!
She has thought about sponsoring before but her present company produce a drink that is simular to Red Bull so can't get into the same kinda thing.
Try and think of companies that are desparate to target "Wakeboard" type of people and would have something to gain from advertising (a medical company perhaps  )
Jeremy is right, the tour will not attract big sponsors without better coverage, its all a bit lo-key at present and to be honnest wakeboarding can be a pretty poor spectator sport (if youre not in the boat).
Its pretty much a job in itself getting sponsorship (I used to do skate events) and a hard one too!

well that would be great if your mate could do that but next year we'll have tv coverage so big sponsers will be interrested plus it doesnt have to be a big sponser, lil'business's can help!like scrap clothing there not a big company but they put stuff into the tour which helps!oh and i dont agree on waht you said about spectating its just as good on the bank than it is from the boat if you watch craig omera on the bank i think u would be pretty impressed! 8O !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
