Default Board Sizing

First of all, this is an awesome Board and I've learned a lot already. Thanks WakeChat for being here!

My brother and I started wakeboarding this summer. As of now, we're being towed behind a regular ski boat and the last I've seen from the videos I'm able to get at least 3 foot of air. I'm close to purchasing a and was considering the Hyperlite Belmont 136. I weigh about 160 lbs and have pretty good control with the Belmont. I've done wake 180s after getting surface 180's down. When the time comes to buy a board, should I consider a slightly bigger board or should I stay with the 136. Has anyone upgraded to a bigger board after the getting the basics. How can you tell if the board is too small?

TIA

if 160 is about 11 stone then a 136 belmont sounds ok unless u r 6'6 tall in which case u should maybe look at something a bit longer it isn't all about weight but maybe u should try a couple of different boards before u make the decision of which one 2 buy 'cos it's an expensive mistake to make if u get the wrong one!

160 pounds is in what i would consider the average size man,,and would do good with a board 132cm and up,,i weight 150-155 pounds and have had a 132cm board,, but found that i didnt really care for the shorter board,,so i went back to a 137cm,, but anyway someone up to 125 or so pounds could get by with the boards in the 120's range,,but as you get into 130 pounds up to 170 pounds or so you would go with a 130's range board,, but at 175 pounds or so i would suggest the 140's boards,,but the 136cm board you want sounds like a good choice that you wont go wrong with to me,,

Thanks for the replies guyz! Finally had a chance to go out yesterday on a 136 Drifter DNA. Awesome board in my opinion! My Bro and I are really considering this board, especially since they're having a sale next week!
