Default Ok, so I got the board, now I need help with bindings

I decided to go with the Obrien Science. I think the 6 fin design will give me the stability and edge that I'm looking for. Are there any major differences between the '04 and '05 models? I found an '04 on sale for $200, so I'll prolly go with that unless anyone can give me a good reason that i should pay more for the '05. Now, I need help with the bindings. I kind of doubt that all bindings are the same, so I'm still looking for control and stability. The package comes with Obrien Link bindings. Any comments, or are the package bindings probably about as good as any? Thanks alot for your help! - Auston

Good choice of board mate. The graphics on the 04 boar are way better than the 05 in my opinion. I've not ridden the 05 so I don't know of any major differences between them.

Bindings are very much a matter of comfort, so I really recomment trying a load of different bindings on at the shop and seeing what you like. They should do a deal if you prefer something other than the package bindings.

Good luck mate.

this is a biased opinion but liquid force do make great bindings, their concepts are good, and in the last couple of years have become really comfy, plus alot of the 04 bindings are a lot cheaper and they still have all the same features

like Shroom says it is down to personal preference so do try before you buy

The 04 Alphas are amazing.
Or if you want to try something different go for the Hyperlite Byerlys. I have both and they are wickid. although i do prefer the Alphas as they are easier to get in and out of and I dont have to use lube either!
