If you can get a copy of edge magazine they list all the lakes in the Uk - its not the best read in the world and the cartoons are the biggest sack of lard, but it should help you. If not Sheffield isn't a million miles from Durham you could try there.

But the Edge magazine has now been bought by Sportsboat and Rib magazine and is now a few token pages at the back, in a mag mainly about Ribs. Dull.

Try http://www.bwsf.co.uk/wheretoski/default.htm which lists all the BWSF wakerski clubs in the UK. There will be one up near you for sure.

I remember the Heaneys used to have a ski spot up on Kielder Water, i would think there is still skiing on it.

But Neal was correct, if you go to the bwsf site, they list all the affialiated clubs.
