I guess because it is cold just sat there operating it.

It might not (i do not know) be financialy worth while opening for just an hour or so for a few people.

It is not late in the season, it is not even the "main" season yet.

Not that i am in the loop on these kind of things, but just my humble opinion!

James, most of the people that ride this time of the year are members anyway. they have paid their money. to open just for members is costly, without the paying public paying £22 a time. wont be long now before you can ride every day.see you tomorrow.

Yeah, but that's what annoyed me about MK - I joined in '05 cos it opened in January, and was an opportunity to ride when the boat club wasn't happening - then they closed in December, so I couldn't ride for 2 or 3 months of membership. closed even longer this year, but wasn't a member.

I wouldn't have minded if I knew upfront that it was going to close, but you don't expect it to open in January one year, and not open til March the next! I'm sure it is the finances, maintenance shouldn't take that long.. unless you have me on the spanner!

Saying that, I'll join again this year, as I'm working only 45minutes away during the week, so can make it worth my while.

Cirencester stays open year round, I believe.
