Default Pro-Tec Helmet Feedback

Whats up everybody my name is Ben. I am a product design intern with Pro-Tec helmets in Southern California and am a rookie wakeboarder. Being a helmet design intern for Pro-Tec I wanted to get some feedback from the wakeboarding community about our helmets. We are trying to amp up our involvement in wakeboarding. If anybody has, has used, or rented a pro-tec helmet please let me know what you think. What you liked, what sucked, what we could improve, etc... Appreciate the help.

-Peace

I used a pro-tec helmet and it saved me when I hit my head on a slider. Hard enough to dent the helmet but I got away with a headache (after being checked in hospital!)

I just bought a Jobe lid but only 'cos I didn't know pro-tec did ear flaps too. If I'd known I would have got another pro-tec. The Jobe lining absorbs water which I'm not keen on as it always seems to be dripping down my face whereas the pro-tec liner doesn't. Small point but it bugs me every time I put the Jobe on wet!

I have a pro-tec lid with ear flaps - seems pretty cool, I use it to skate vert in too.... without the ear flaps obviously.

I havent yet found a protec as comfy as my old protec skate lid. They've changed the foam completely now.

Yeah the earpads are a good way to protect your ear drums when you really get slammed on the water. As far as our foam liners, we've done a lot with our materials. A lot of our skate and snow helmets use have multi-impact liners and our wake helmets don't absorb water.
