I am south preston so its not a Blackpool thing. Anyway hope the last warning chance is just a threat as you still got at least 3 months of the season left. Is it the fact that they are giving the boat the last warning or purely the driver? Half the legal stuff i have got a little lost on - ( maybe sometime there should be a preston meeting for a few beers or one in the lakes - it never happened in last few years - i also missed the kwaa night which was a shame ) but this season is the first i ever ran windermere without observers in 30 years as this rule they changed by mistake.

Any one else been told their on their last warning or is it just little old me???? I was thinking exactly the same, the warning must be against the driver. So if you 'sell' the boat to a friend surely they have to get some warnings before court.

Having said all that do the LDNPA actually have any money to take people to court????????

Its the driver not the boat owner who’s breaking the bylaws, and the wardens have no authority to ask you for your details or to prove them, so I keep giving them a false name. The letter comes to me as the registered owner but names the driver as whatever you told them (Dave Bennison works for me!)
Next year may go small ships registered and take off the LDNPA numbers, then they won’t even know who the owner is.

Cheers Dave I can always count on you!

Maybe I should register the boat in Jinx's name next year. Let them pick up a postage charge to Antarctica!!!!

When I went SSR on the 205 they told me I still had to display numbers which were the same size as the Windermere reg plates, and they wanted to see the SSR cert so they could get your name etc.

We registered the X2 with SSR last year. Dave got us the numbers so they
haven't seen our cert, anyway just get the numbers made up from elsewhere.

Top day out on windermere yesterday. Rained most of the day, but the water was glassy, apart from the ripples from the raindrops.

Lake was pretty empty. Wardens were out, but didn't seem to be bothering anyone.

Only downside was the envy I felt when I saw a very nice red x-star tied up on the public jetty in Bowness.
