Default Best way to get the foam of your skate?

Im gonna regrip my wakeskate. Whats the best way to get the old stuff off? Is it just with a razorblade and hairdryer like with skateboards?

Cheers

pretty much...

A cheap heat gun will make it much easier and quicker though... try to avoid a razor as it cuts the material (often resulting in lots of pieces!).. use something blunt like a steel ruler... this should help get it off in one once you get it going.

Make sure it's all nice and warm and take your time!

Or... Dress up like a cave man, dance the ceremonial dance in the backyard and tare that baby to shreds!!!!!

Just a suggestion…

You can be an animal now that your going on to grip tape!!!

White spirit works well on any residual glue. Just leave it there to break it down then scrape it off with a pallet knife.
