Yeah, I know I'm going to get one - only question is whether to go for a cheap one (to see if I'll stick with it - I'm notoriously flighty and fad-like....) or bite the bullet and go for a decent one....

Thinking about drilling my old dc skateshoes too, but the soles seem quite thick - do the wakeskate specific shoes make that much difference? We had the Byerly's in last year but I didn't try them on.......

Stack, what do you mean 'trailing' your back leg? you don't want to do that

Fakie, first of all whats yor real name? and you should look at this years gator skate, they're sick and really cheap against every other brand. I just got the 41 drew mcguckin and it's completely changed my riding for the better.

Marcus, ohh to be young and flexible again! you had a lucky escape there dude

Well at the start of the year it was all fine and i was and i was getting quite a decent height. Then i started thinking about it more and this started happening.

Its mostly a head thing, like a glitch in a golf swing. Im gonna try what you said about consciously getting my back leg higher than my front and see what happens.

Your right about the gators. The only board ive tried that i might prefer to my impala is the lemons. I noticed the mcguckin at MK and want to try it. However im not keen on the durability of wood boards and i have no reason to change mine.

i've had a gator urban for abut 18months now and its still in pretty good condition - you just have to look after it... when you see the varnish wearing off - re-varnish or paint it in a marine grade stuff... this has help prevent my board from de-lamming.
