Default Blank Skate...

...same as blank decks for skateboards? ie. not a bad deal, or are they considered a complete no-no for wakeskating?

What should i be looking for as a cheap, first skate unirider? Been wakeboarding for 4 years now and wanna try a skate but trying to avoid a huge initial outlay until i know i want to stick withit.

fakiestore, blanks aren’t necessarily a big no-no, to be honest if you want a cheep deck it’s probably ok (you just don’t know who build it/or there aren’t many around, so you never know how good its going to be or how long its going to last).
If you buy a skate off a good company, then you can guess how well its put together, that’s all...

LiquidMilitia, best thing you can do is borrow as many off peeps at all the lakes you ride at till you find one that feels good... Try, try, try again, every skate rides a little different, you will quickly get a feel for what works for you.

unirider... BOOKA BOOKA, get those decks!!! (U know what I mean!!!)

yeah just do what nick said, he knows the score. Try a few out and see what you think is best. On the plus side compared to a wakeboard setup even the most expensive skate is still guna be cheap. I recommend you buy from your most local shop, that way at least if anything goes wrong with it you've got that local support. Also they can also guide you to what they might think is most appropriate for your level. If your ever up at Sheffield cable on a saturday, come into the shop and i'll talk you through some stuff, also i've got a few things you can try out.

Looking good Nick, looking good!
