yeah you can pour wax or varnish in the holes if specially if you're gonna be taking them out all the time. i'm gonna use varnish i think, it'll last longer i reckon. still no drilling tho i need a new 1\4 drill bit first mine looks a bit blunt.
like lee says tho i don't think theres any rush on the weather front.....

Would an integ need sealing too mike? to stop the core getting flooded i assume.
