Reviving this as while gluing my wakeskate back together my attention keeps being drawn to online shops. Anyone got opinions on oak? I haven't really managed to see a pic that shows exactly what they are like. Also I am liking the look of these but they do seem very square. Bit like the old kampus barn door

I was sure the gator drew was what i wanted and it rode really nice when i tried it. However the concave was a lot more subtle than what i am used to. Plus I managed to hammer the **** out of a gator composite in 18 months. I get a feeling their wood decks wont last that long.
However that or a gripped up goodwood would be what i would go for uk available wise.

these pics made me want one but i was worried about how the wood would hold up on sliders and shallow rivers with rocky bottoms.

The oak skates are a sick board, just wish they were available in this country. I also wish my new Fox wakeskate shoes weren't too big, dammit!
