Default New Skate

After some advice regards my new skate please guys. Over the past few months I have ridden quite a few different models and pretty much thought I had settled on the Goodwood but when it came to shelling out the cash I am still kinda unsure (i want to be pretty sure before I spend up to 250 quid).

Recently ridden a 2008 Hyperlite catalyst 2, thought was pretty good very responsive on the water but also a little bit more "skitty" than i would prefer; Gator Deuce Pop - Far too much drag really; 2007 GB Impalla - really, really liked it but seems a little light??; Integity (dunno which one but it was Tim's board at 10 feet high in Sheffield) - just couldn't get on with it. Looking at the GB Reaper and the GB Urban as well, they both look cool but depends how they ride.

I know its a how long is a piece of string question and whatever feels right for one person is gonna be crap for me but does anyone have any opinions based on what I have said.

Mainly ride cable (only very occasionally boat).

Cheers

If you like the goodwood then i'd say you're decision is made!
I personally can't ride them, but i've always been impressed with their durability and strength. You can ride it on rails everyday for the next year and it will still be in great condition for next season. I know they're expensive, as are the integrity's, but both boards a tough as hell and the price reflects the quality.

Its like the old wife beater - reassuringly expensive.

Here is a completely biased opinion as I am involved with Goowood wakeskates. Go with the Goodwood,
but if that’s not enough to convince you here some info on Goodwood boards that might .
Both boards are of foam core, compression moulded construction like most wakeskate but Goodwood also use a complete reinforcing ring following the edge of the board. This is what gives Goodwood boards the edge when it comes to strength and durability.

The EVA grip that is supplied with both Goodwood board is not everyone’s choice of grip but not many people know that under the EVA grip is a shaped compression moulded deck that can be griped. This gives the rider the choice of using EVA grip or standard grip tape.

The Deliquesce and Sabot board are designed with shape able edges. By softening or rounding the edges (I do mean edges not sides you cannot change the shape of the skate) it makes the board ride deeper in the water fine tuning the traction and pop characteristics of the board to your riding style.

If you want any more info on Goodwood wakeskates give me a shout.
