Default Time for a winch!

Right been looking at building a winch for a while... so il ask you guys for tips... im not a great mechanic,

Firstly how hard is it? i mean when i get back from coaching here ive got ages to doss around and build one. Is it hard?

I think my biggest question is about the clutch... how does it work?

And where is the best place to get a that much decent spectra?

Thanks guys!

It seems to me (as i have often thought about making a winch) that there is a need for a comprehensive guide to building a winch...

A list of essential parts (maybe even links to them and an explanation of what the part does and is important for) and a "general" blue print... If this was posted, people could comment on things they did differently and the results of these differences. it might lead to an advancement in the evolution of wake related winches!

Just a thought,
