yeah i was thinking of a pin device to disengage but was worried about the pin falling out when the spool is rotating.

if i cant come up with a better method i'll use a screwed titainium pin.

helljay i'm starting the spool tomorrow and i'll post up some pics soon as i have something. is your shaft 25mm or 1 inch ? because i will have to get the bearings to suit exactly.

also i just looked at your pics again, can you defo fit a 15 inch spool ? looks a bit to big for me and is your sprocket mounted direct to your axle ?

the axel is 25mm, the spool will fit but i would have to mount it in a differant place, which is fine! our spool at the mo is way to wide. the sprocket is attached to carrier attatched to axel!

FYI I think my second spool has 13" side plates and that fits a stupid amount of line on. Think there's ~600ft on it and plenty of room for more.

Radlam I think its 72 tooth and not sure on engine make(Some cheap ebay sh1t). I need to check it out, its burried under a mountain of stuff in the garage. First shout goes to hussy though since he hasn't got a winch!

cheers dogpoo, what sizes you want me to make ? shaft - width

production started today on 3 spools i have gone for 14" sidewalls as this is as big as i can get on my machine, hope thats cool helljay ?

inner diameter will be changable at 5" 6.5" and 8"

helljay will 8" wide leave you enough room for the disengage part or shall i make it 8" total width ?
