Default TAV problems

Hey there, I'm having some problems with mounting the TAV on my engine.
I'll try to explain as good as possible.. I use a TAV2-30

I mounted the TAV on my engine, (step 1 in the installation instructions)
so far so good. I also had to cut away a piece of the TAV as like everybody else. But here starts trouble..

When I put the spacer on my crankshaft and after that the sheave stationary than I have no more room on my crankshaft!

and if I remove the spacer and put the sheave stationary on right away than I have enough room on my crankshaft for the hub driver but than the driver and the driven don't align anymore!
I have the idea that my crankshaft isn't long enough.. it is 55 mm. (2.17 inch) can anyone tell me something about that?

Also, the next problem.. the bushing bronze does not fit on my sheave stationary! I probaly have to grind a little bit of my sheave to make it fit so that's not the biggest problem...

I hope you guys's can help me out, I'm really stuck here!

With a 55mm shaft you should have 7mm of shaft left to fit the 40mm black 'graphite' thing on. Is that right?

Mines 58mm so only the first 10mm fit on the shaft and the other 30mm 'hang' off the end. Apparantly this is normal and I havn't heard of anyone experiencing problems.

You shouldn't have to grind anything off the bronze ring. That sounds wrong to me.

Take a look here there's a pic of mine that might help WinchSkating.com :: View topic - TAV2 and shaft Length

looks like you have a 50mm shaft same as i had which leaves nothing left at all after sliding on the bronze spacer and the first part of the tav

i made a shaft extension like this

if your shaft has a M8 metric thread in the end not a 5/16 english like some engines do i can send you a spare extension i have no problem
